Deposit and Withdraw

A Simple Guide

Seamless fund management is essential for smooth trading. VDEX makes deposits and withdrawals fast, efficiently, and fully self-custodial, ensuring that you always have full control over your assets. This section explains how deposits and withdrawals work on VDEX, along with key details you need to know.

How to Deposit

Depositing funds on VDEX is simple. Since VDEX is a self-custodial platform, you retain ownership of your assets at all times. Instead of sending funds to a centralized entity, deposits are locked in smart contracts (escrow) and can only be moved by you. Steps to Deposit Funds:

  • Use a supported non-custodial wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby).

  • Select your preferred collateral

  • Sign the deposit transaction through your wallet.

  • Once the transaction is confirmed on the Settlement Layer, your funds will be available instantly for margin trading via VDEX.

Key Benefits of Depositing on VDEX

  • ✅ Instant Availability — Deposits are finalized instantly and available for trading without delays.

Withdrawals

On VDEX, withdrawals are self-executed and fraud-proof, ensuring that you can always access your funds when needed. There are no centralized approvals, meaning no risk of withdrawal restrictions or delays.

Withdrawals During Beta For added security during the beta phase, withdrawals follow a delayed release process.

Steps to Withdraw Funds:

  1. Navigate to the withdrawal panel on the VDEX interface.

  2. Select the asset and amount you wish to withdraw.

  3. Sign the withdrawal request using your connected wallet.

  4. After the security delay, confirm the withdrawal by signing the final transaction.

  5. Funds will be released directly to your wallet.

Important Notes

  • Minimum Deposit/Withdrawal Limits Some minimum limits may apply for efficiency and security.

    Withdrawal Delays (Closed Beta Phase) Currently, all withdrawals are subject to a processing delay for security reasons. This restriction will be removed after the beta phase.

    Trading with Collateral Deposited assets serve as margin for trading perpetuals. Withdrawals may be restricted if funds are tied to open positions.
