Deposit and Withdraw

Efficient fund management is crucial for seamless trading. VDEX provides fast, reliable, and fully self-custodial deposits and withdrawals, ensuring complete control of assets at all times. This section outlines how deposits and withdrawals work on VDEX and highlights key details to know.

How to Deposit

Depositing funds on VDEX is simple. As a self-custodial platform, VDEX ensures traders retain ownership of their assets at all times. Instead of sending funds to a centralized entity, deposits are secured in smart contracts (escrow) and can only be moved by the account owner.

Steps to Deposit Funds: • Use a supported wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. • Select your preferred collateral. • Sign the deposit transaction through your wallet. • Once the transaction is confirmed on the Settlement Layer, your funds become instantly available for margin trading on VDEX.

Key Benefits of Depositing on VDEX
  • Self-Custody: Full control of funds is maintained at all times.

  • Instant Finality: Deposits confirm immediately and are available for trading without delays.

  • Cross-Chain Access: Trade perpetuals seamlessly without relying on bridges or wrapped tokens.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals on VDEX are self-executed and fraud-proof, ensuring continuous access to funds without reliance on centralized approvals. This design eliminates the risk of withdrawal restrictions or delays.

Withdrawals During Beta

For added security during the beta phase, withdrawals are subject to a 24-hour release delay.

Steps to Withdraw Funds:

  • Open the withdrawal panel in the VDEX interface.

  • Select the asset and specify the withdrawal amount.

  • Sign the withdrawal request using a connected wallet.

  • Funds are transferred directly to the designated wallet after a 24-hour delay.

Important Notes
  • Minimum Deposit and Withdrawal Limits

Minimum thresholds may apply to ensure operational efficiency and platform security.

  • Withdrawal Delays (Closed Beta Phase)

All withdrawals are currently subject to a 24-hour processing delay for security purposes. This measure will be removed after the beta phase.

  • Trading with Collateral

Deposited assets are used as margin for perpetual trading. Withdrawals may be temporarily unavailable if funds are allocated to open positions.
